CVW-1 Virtual is a highly realistic military simulation group founded in 2018 by a passionate group of military aviation enthusiasts. Our mission is to provide an unmatched naval aviation experience, offering everything from aircraft carrier operations to search and rescue. Whether launching from a carrier or conducting sorties from land bases, CVW-1 ensures an immersive and authentic training environment for all participants.

Based out of Norfolk, Virginia, our air wing specializes in a wide variety of naval aircraft, including the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, the E/A-18G Growler, the F-35C Lightning II, the CMV-22B Osprey, and the MH-60S. Each of these aircraft is flown with great attention to detail, providing our pilots with an in-depth understanding of modern naval aviation tactics, flight operations, and team coordination.

At CVW-1, we pride ourselves on our commitment to realism and professionalism. Our pilots and crew members undergo extensive training according to the VATSIM Special Operations manual to ensure they are prepared for a wide range of operations, from air-to-air combat and close air support to electronic warfare, maritime surveillance and SAR. We emphasize teamwork, discipline, and continuous learning to maintain a high standard of excellence in every mission.

Our community is built on a foundation of camaraderie and mutual respect. We regularly host training sessions, missions, and exercises.
